Glennwood is Growing and Changing!!

We could not be more thankful for each and every person that has been working on the Glennwood House of Laguna Beach Facility. Everyone from our construction company Trivest, the numerous parents that have volunteered their time and efforts and everyone who has supported us along the way.  Its the final home stretch so your support is appreciated more than ever!!

Here are some new construction pictures to show our progress!

Paint, Wires and Showers Oh My!!

Shauna, Randy and I have been waiting for so very long to get the doors painted white. Its amazing what a difference it makes the outside of the building look.

The Glennwood admin team realized today that with the newly painted white doors reflect the light more and brighten up our hallways.

The outside of the building is starting to reflect how much work has been done to the inside!!

We are getting all new electrical Panels and wiring completed in the building.

All first floor bathrooms are walk in showers that have been ADA approved.

Our second and third floor single rooms will have brand new shower/tub units in them.

All second and third floor double rooms will have brand new walk in shower units.

The Glennwood House of Laguna Beach is so excited that our dream is coming closer to a reality. We could not be more thankful to our wonderful contractor Trivest for being so dedicated to us and also CDFI for believing in our Dreams.

Glennwood is changing by the day!! Today we had new lights put into the kitchen, continuing to replace all of the plumbing and in the last two weeks we have had all of our windows replaced.

New windows were put into the Administration office so we can now see who is coming  and going from the Glennwood campus.

The office windows from the outside of the admin building.

The Wyland Wall

On Saturday January 19, 2013 the artist Wyland came to the Glennwood House of Laguna Beach and worked with 10 of our resident candidates and created an extraordinary mural on the outside of our dining hall. It was an amazing day that was full of memories that the Glennwood House will hold dear to our heart.  We could not be more thankful to Wyland and his Foundation, Coast Hardware of Laguna Beach, Bill Shedd and to all of the artists that helped make this wall look so excellent.

The wall before we started painting that was primed in light blue paint.
